A better day today for everyone. Coco got up on time and ate her breakfast and didn’t go back to sleep right away. She sat up with me and cuddled and then we took a nice walk.
Kirby has been following her around a lot. I think he thinks his job is to look after her and he rarely lets her out of his sight. When I first adopted Kirby, he followed me everywhere. Now he will leave my side to find his sister. When returning from a walk, I drop Kirby’s leash so he can run ahead to the door but he won’t go in until Coco catches up and he lets her inside first.
Who taught Kirby to be so kind and wise?
Who taught him to respect an older dog?
Who taught him to be so patient and empathetic?
Who taught him to love children and elders?
This funny looking little dog came into our lives and enriched it so. I am not so sure who saved who.
